As part of its growth strategy, FACAM STAIRWAY is launching a new phase of international expansion into high‑potential African markets, including Congo, Guinea, Burkina Faso, and Mali. To support and drive this strategic ambition, the Group is creating a new key position reporting directly to the Group CEO.
Overall Mission
The International Development & Strategy Manager is responsible for defining, structuring, and leading FACAM STAIRWAY's expansion strategy across targeted international markets. The role involves coordinating all strategic, commercial, and operational initiatives required to establish and grow the company's presence in Congo, Guinea, Burkina Faso, and Mali.
Reporting directly to the Group CEO, this position plays a pivotal role in shaping the Group's international footprint.
Key Responsibilities
International Strategy Development
- •Design market‑entry and growth strategies for each target country
- •Conduct in‑depth market studies: opportunities, competition, regulatory environment, risks
- •Identify potential partners, distributors, joint‑venture opportunities, and local stakeholders
- •Define tailored business models for each market
Deployment & Operational Coordination
- •Build and oversee deployment roadmaps in alignment with the Group CEO
- •Supervise implementation phases: prospecting, negotiations, logistics, local recruitment, and operational setup
- •Ensure alignment between strategic objectives and operational capabilities
Business Development
- •Define the international commercial strategy and prioritize markets
- •Identify, approach, and negotiate with key clients, institutions, and strategic partners
- •Represent FACAM STAIRWAY with public authorities, private stakeholders, and international organizations
Performance Management & Reporting
- •Establish KPIs to monitor progress and performance across countries
- •Provide regular reporting and strategic recommendations to the Group CEO
- •Adjust strategies based on market evolution and project outcomes
Strategic Monitoring & Risk Management
- •Conduct continuous monitoring of economic, regulatory, and competitive environments
- •Identify risks (political, financial, operational) and propose mitigation plans
Profile & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- ✓Strong experience in international development, strategy, or multi‑country project management
- ✓Solid understanding of African markets, ideally West and Central Africa
- ✓Proven negotiation and business development skills
- ✓Ability to analyze complex environments and design strategic frameworks
Soft Skills
- ✓Natural leadership and ability to work with multicultural teams
- ✓High autonomy, initiative, and results‑driven mindset
- ✓Excellent communication and institutional representation skills
- ✓Adaptability, resilience, and strong diplomatic sense
Education & Experience
- ✓Master's degree in International Business, Strategy, Management, or equivalent
- ✓3–7 years of experience in a similar role
- ✓Proven experience in Sub‑Saharan Africa is a strong advantage
- ✓Fluency in French and English required
